For several years, the South Bay had been plagued with a lack of cultural stimulation. With the shutting down of numerous art galleries and live music venues in the downtown district, San Jose’s general population was either forced to travel to San Francisco and Oakland for any type of quality entertainment or accept the less than impressive scene that it housed. Come 2008, Michael Grammer and Vince Tran took it upon themselves to bring life back to its nightlife and live music scene. It was then that NewSense was created. For more than three years now, the two have produced well over 50 events and have worked and collaborated with a wide spectrum of world-renowned DJs, artists, producers, bands, and singers.
Since NewSense's creation, they have worked with and have connected numerous creative minds with each other. They are always willing to collaborate with motivated groups and individuals that want to make a difference in their communities and most importantly promote the arts.
